    What's wrong with me then?

Too big for you? Looks like my size, and I don't really even ride little wheels anymore.....

Damn you, built in my own back yard, always wanted one.

The nostalgia is strong in this one.

Yeah, that looks like the perfect size

hat happened to the paint on the back of the fork? Did the owner transport the bike with the front wheel hanging on the tailgate of a pick-up truck?

I'd sure wish you sold all your random, ill fitting stuff and just throw all that money under your pillow and save up for one of your dream bikes. ;)

On the other hand, I bet you're having fun.

    Turn it up to 11.

Bike racks will do that. The front-wheel-over variety.

I like it! Beat to **** and yet still loud. I hope you got it cheap.

MCS, I hear us on the always wanting one...if it was a bit smaller I'd be stoked to bring it back to life. No 26ers anymore?, say it ain't so...

Shayne, I still owe you for the help on my first rebuild...

Laffeaux, I was thinking the same exact thing on the fork.

Gob, you must be psychic...my boy and I have been talking about selling off a bunch of my unused toys to fund a craigslist flipping gig that will eventually park a nice late 70's or early 80's 911 in our driveway. Yes, I'll be buying plenty of $2 ads, lol.

Mig, yeah, it's rough, but I had to rescue it...you know the feeling.

Nate, I agree, something about a neon beater makes me misty eyed. I'm pretty sure I could have gotten it cheaper than the $100 the seller was asking, but he held it a few days for me, and seemed like a really nice guy, so I didn't bother with my usually very persuasive bargaining tactics.

    ECS,
I would expect nothing less out of you.

Looks as if it was ridden every day of its life. I'd still rock it!!!

Yeah, between fatbikes and 29ers (and now 29x3), I get on little wheels and just go "why the F am I riding these things?"

I still take the oldsters out for a pity ride now and then, but I'm just spoiled by wheel/tire combos that make me smile.

Still, you decide it's just too big and too loud, I'll give it a home!

Nah, I'd be willing to bet it was more like something more like this:

Haha, you know me too well my friend.

Nate, I prefer to imagine this bike rattling around the back of a beat up old F150 on shuttle runs to old singltrack, but I think your bike rack torture is probably a lot more likely.

I had no idea that bike racks needed to come with instructions. ;)

Those racks could have been better designed. You can't lock your frame to it with a u lock unless you did it that way or snagged an end.

If you put the rear wheel into the rack, the u-lock can go through the rear triangle and rear wheel.

Always thought those were sexy.. and always suspected they didn't actually ride that great: too short, too steep.

Front wheel and frame can be a better bargain for a lock-up bike tho....

I don't know if anyone here will make you stop. We like looking at old neon. Especially when it's a Serotta.

I would have spent $100 on that too. Definitely looks better stripped and cleaned.

Wouldn't be bad to repaint that but it would be hard to get the same awesome colors.
