    SuspensionForkParts.net- Vintage mountain bike hero

There are heroes out here that truly care about restoring vintage mountain bikes and keeping them on the road. I acquired a Pro-Flex 555 but the fork needed some attention. The elastomers inside the fork were shot. I search everywhere on the internet for a schematic of the fork and blogged everywhere for help and came up dry. I purchased the elastomers from Jim at Suspensionforksparts.net but could not get the fork apart much less understand the configuration of the fork. Jim had me ship the fork to him and him and he installed the elastomers and some missing parts that he scrounged. He also had to make several modifications to the fork and shipped it back to me. HE DID NOT WANT TO CHARGE ME……..ONLY ASKED FOR THE SHIPPING COSTS. In the course of the conversations with him, it was clear he had a passion for keeping these old bikes on the road. What a champion of our vintage cause. Thanks Jim…….and keep those elastomers coming for all of us.

Definitely a killer resource and we're lucky he's made the effort.

I seldom run vintage suspension, but I'm about to make my first purchase from them as well. Good to hear such a great review and experience!
