    Spooky Junebug XT

So I found this thing at lunchtime today for a very good price. Although not totally VRC, it does have a serious cool factor, and there is no "Spooky" thread on MTBR, so I thought I would post it here. It is a 1998 model Junebug XT. The only parts that I see that are not original are the Bontrager Race Wheels, the Avid brake levers, and the crank... The bike as a whole is in excellent shape for its age...
I have owned it for a total of 7 hours now, and feel like a kid at Christmas...

Yes that is the real reason why it is here. I know that he is into these things... and the bike is also from Pennsylvania, sorry Steve...lol
I do plan to put a Fox Vanilla RLC on it and some nice new rubber, but I think that may be it for a while...

Haha Gloria...guess my Spooky addiction is common knowledge now.

funny thing is I saw the WIW post about it while I was at work today and the first thing I thought was, if he snagged it from my back yard I was gonna be ...took me about two seconds to shoot him a PM.

    Kory,

    looks awsome...thanks forthe pics.

This bike is from Brewster New York, so I am assuming that would be the case. Was he the only welder at Spooky at that time?

Nice bike - the front skewer doesn't look tight

When was Spooky located in Brewster New York? My frame has 2 decals on it, one with the State of New York on the Downtube, and one on the seat tube from Brewster New York. Just fishing for info, as this is the first Spooky I have ever seen, or owned for that matter until now... Also stating that my bike is a 98, was just what I was told by the guy I got it from...I honestly have no idea... Also, is that Headbadge original??? I can't find one like that anywhere else...Just wanting to know exactly what I have, thanks

Spooky was in NY 1995-2000. PM MTBR member Suspect_Device for more info, or just go to the new Spookybikes.com page.
