I remain astonished by the amount of care the museum staff put into the project.
It don't mean a feng if it ain't got that
shui .
Don't have one but wish I had. Though it was pretty cool sitting on my tailgate after a ride with Jacquie Phelan poring through her book.
I agree. Everything from how they handled collection to storage to display and even the part where they didn't know what to do when the tires started getting flat.
The book is well done. Those guys are amazing and I have always enjoyed the displays that they've put together.
Thanks for all the lenders of the bikes and other items from the guys that visit this forum. I enjoyed seeing your stuff. And for Joe Breeze for doing a lot of wrenching and parts procurement.

Mantis did a couple XCRs in orange bassboat, cool.
Need to make my way to SF and check out the exhibit. Was too rushed last time.
It ends in Feb, time is running out!

Oh...and Banks. Please don't call it San Fran...or Frisco...or SF.
Zip ties? Not on my bike!
Want:
650B rims 80's vintage 32 or 36
Salsa or similar stem. 1" threadless. 120 with rise.
What are they going to do with those old bikes after the show?
Out with the old in with the new!
Seek: Old Mtn. Goat Bar Stem Combo.
I think there is a city ordinance saying they have to be recycled.

Find another museum! There's something to be said for having an old bike on display rather than sitting in a dark basement.

Tossed in the dumpster out back. We'll all be hovering around waiting to pick up the scrap.

That'd be cool. Or...I don't know, ride them? I'm giving serious thought to taking my Bontrager right from the exhibit and racing it at Keyesville.

A portion of the 10% went this evening.
Derby while you can.

Where is the exhibition? I read it was in the international terminal. Is it accessible without travel or use of gates?
Yeah, it's before security at the international terminal at sfo. Walk pass the ticket checkers and it's along the walkway along the back hallway.
Note: ending early FEB. Go now or miss out on a great collection of mostly norcal bikes.
Is the book available anywhere else?
