Semi OT: Super Old School BMX Prize for ID in NORCAL

Found this very unique BMX bike in my friends basement. Was wondering if anybody lcould ID this very unique old school BMX.

Back end looks like an older mongoose front end looks like nothing I've ever seen before. Has Ashtabula 1 piece cranks.

Prize for ID in NORCAL something out of my old school MTB parts bin. Deore XT 7+1 thumbies, XC Pro RD, Killer deal on Rockhopper 86 w/full XT dear head group, or something else have a bunch of early 90's stuff

that's one long tube....my guess is that its a one-off or prototype. The welds are kind rough and the craftsmanship/design reeks of garage engineer.

does it ride? definitely unique.....im going for a torker/mongoose mix...please post the answer here if you do find out....very interesting it is.

I think this is the winner, let me know if you want something. I travel around most of Norcal and central coast region so I can probably meet you somewhere if you want a prize.

Do you know if these were only made in 74? Never would have thought that this bike could be older than me, I was thinking it was some weird 80's thing.

Definitely looks odd with the weld esp the dropouts. All the pictures of the Puch MX on bmxmuseum seem to lack the little tube with the brake mount so maybe it was added later. Haven't been able to try to ride it because the front wheel is missing. Will post some more pics if I can get a wheel and clean it up.
