    Schwinn Homegrown

Any Homegrown owners here? I'm serious looking at one and would like more info on them. I understand the earlier ones where made by Yeti?

Any and all all input would be greatly appreciated.

Search Homegrown and you'll find lots of info, including many debates over what frames were made by Yeti. There's some good info out there...

The consensus is that they're cool frames and some were made by Yeti, but a lot fewer than owners and sellers claim.

I've had a few homegrowns and they all rode very nicely and were light weight, I had one crack at the BB but I repaired it and continued to ride it. None of the ones I owned were yeti made, and from what I've heard from reliable sources is that it was only about 300 that were made by yeti and they all used 7005 aluminum because they didn't have proper heat treating equipment to work with the 60XX aluminum that some of the other manufactures were using. Good bikes, but not really collectible.
