We three should beat up the others and take theirs since they never ride them anyway.

    91 needs a Manitou..

    Who are the three?

Love the family line up and the '88.

What's the '87 in your photo? I have his '87 bike... a black one made by Fat Chance...

I need a nice '88. The one I have is unfortunately a beater. Of course, wouldn't mind one of those '89s as well.

    Hey F-B!
I'll do my best to address your points in order:

Got a pre-answer Manitou for it just prefer the RS at the moment (have 20s and 21s in virtually all configurations)

If I had to guess to whom Rumpfy was referring, I'd say Scant, me and Rumpfy himself. Perhaps others do as well and if so, a race that had a fleet of Raleigh JT Sigs would make one hell of a photo shoot.

Thanks - ply family members with enough alcohol and anyone can get together long enough for a few photos no matter what their differences

You have an 87 FC made, Mongoose relabeled JT bike, I have a Mongoose JT Sig reproduction made in 87 and looks just like the 88. The 88 was built in 88 and looks just like the ads and the 87 I have.

I know others have seen the Merlin all Ti 89 in their LBS and one guy saw one used as a grocery hauler in Italy but I've never seen another. I regularly drove to MA to personally harass the gang at Merlin while mine was being built.

Don't want to sound like a stickler, but one problemo is he didn't have/ride that bike in '87..?

Looking at your pic, perhaps the one you call the 92 is actually set up like his 91 machine?

Does Rumpfy have a JT Sig? I thought he had one of those store-bought Litespeeds?

    All JT Sig ride!

99% of the folk here know a lot more than I do about such things and the other 1% know a little more than I do so thanks for the insight. I don't know that whether or not Tomac's buttocks came into contact with a saddle or top tube of a bike determines whether is is called a "John Tomac Signature" by the manufacturer though that may have happened on one and perhaps two of mine.

So rather than investigate and debate the subject, I went for a 3 hour ride in the ridiculous heat and humidity of Lewis Morris park ...

Kudos for gettin' it out on the trails! They sure have a nice ride. I feel way faster on mine and sometimes even imagine myself with a blonde flat-top, crazy strong legs, and amazing descending skills while on it.

And nice job amassing that nice gaggle of... mongeese.

    Thanks again.

I agree - awesome thoroughbreds chomping on their bits to be given their head.
