Looks like around an 18-ish, cromo, decent enough cheapo Shimano MTB stuff, the push-push shifters which I never liked. They will likely need a brake cleaner/Tri-Flow tune up to function decently. If it rides well, shifts and brakes well (or you have the skills to tell out of tune from beat to hell).
Need transport and a trail beater MTB? go for it, but I'd talk them down to under a hundred if possible.
Rare gem, no.
As for the other listing though? It's kinda uncool according to local rules to out anything that might be considered actually cool. The former is common production stuff, the later, not so much so.
It can be tough to decipher what is and isn't, but I'm thinking someone will get their panties in a wad about it, so I've taken the liberty of removing it. Sorry.
This is a Pugs not some carbon wannabee pretzel wagon!!
If it has a CycleArt paint job I seriously doubt it is crap but certainly not a mega score. Looks like HEAD tried to get into the mountain bike craze like many other sporting goods companies. CycleArt did alot of mass paint for those companies. CycleArt is still around, I am sure if you sent them a pic they could tell you more. Like Mendon said, a decent bike but I wouldn't throw more than $100 at it.
I haven't seen an old Head bike in a loooong time, I remember seeing them when I lived in Germany back in 93-94, that looks like it could from one of those years in fact. It looks like it's in nice shape considering the age, but the parts are old, and nothing high end from the time. If you're interested in bikes from that time, it could be worth considering (at a lower price), but if you're looking for something to actually use, go newer by at least ten years. And really, for those who think this is a Walmart bike, get out of the vintage forum and stay in the forums with recent bikes.
