    Ok, Who Got It?

Saw this in a recent search. Of course the ad has been deleted already... but it's digital echo lives on. Who picked it up?

Ouch! I've been all over the locals lately. That would have hurt.
Zip ties? Not on my bike!

    Want:
    650B rims or wheel set. 80's vintage 32 or 36 x 135mm

The more I look it seems like $150 is top end, eBay has some for $75-$125 the more I research.
It's kinda interesting how the value of that bike has held over the years though. It's probably an '89 or '90 model and in back '92, in used condition, the value would probably be $150 - close to what it is now, two decades later.

I think most 1 year-old used bikes sell for half of retail as a general rule... It'd be interesting, to a geek like me at least, to see a graph of various types of bikes and their values over the years. How far below retail did the value of a Cunningham fall in it's life and when did it start to rise again?

Oh man, that old ebay format brings back fun memories back when collectible vintage bikes were just old.

I'm 90% sure I saw a Ham go for $1500 in the early 2000's sold out of Moab.

    And photos weren't included.

Some had photos. I vividly remember the Rim Cyclery picture as a matter of fact. Up against a brick wall.

    Funny prank!

Hey, hope all the parties don't mind but I moved over this short discussion on bike pricing that was interesting and didn't get many looks because it was in the WIW thread.

Anyhow, thanks DC, FB and DJ....

I'd like to see his collection. Wasn't he going to upload them all on a website? That would be cool to see and rather informative which is something I appreciate about the access FFB has given us to their collection.

Sounds good to me. I actually have bike pricing on the mind right now. Trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on 1991 Stumpy Team that's at a thrift store. They priced it at $175, firm. Paint and frame are in good condition, but the parts are a mishmash, only a few things left of the original XCPro gruppo. And the rear wheel is gone. Oh, and it's not my size, it's smallish, like a 15" or 17".

Don't want to derail but I would like to know about the blue one. I've seen red, any other colors?

Breezer/Ritchey style in the early 80s. It's only Fatmikey style if you do that to a late 80s bike.

Oh, and there's a green one too, Shawn.

Some of the earlier bikes were painted when Charlie thought he had to fit in. People had a hard time with a non-painted bike.
