Is it worth anything?
Thanks Halaburt.. so it looks like I may not have all the pieces according to the link. Is it still of any use to anyone?

Okay, I made a mistake. I started a thread about my 1991 Rocky Mountain Nimbus an there was the "WiW" question inside - so my thread got deleted.
So I start here again, hoping to be in the right section.
I have a 1991 Rocky Mountain Nimbus including the first generation syncros seat post, white syncros stem an fork. The frame itself is not in good condition, decals missing and coating is no more good. But no cracks or dents. I am thinking to sell it, because I have enough bikes and no time for another rebuild project. It comes with an bullseye "americanos" wheelset in blue, white, red hubs. I don't know if I want to sell the whole bike or sell it as a frame set and the wheelset appart.
What do you think?
Regards
S

Hard to say without pics, but even in rough shape, those are some nice parts.

Normally parting out is the way to go, but in this case, you might be better off selling complete. Cool bike and cool set up.
Best guess, $350-550, maybe more...but those pictures really suck. So unless you fix that, lower end of the estimate stands.

Agreed. Really nice base for a project. The fork/stem combo is great, but the frame isn't worth nearly as much without them.
If you are sentimental and not purely $$-driven (or you don't want the hassle of doing a bunch of individual part auctions), clean it up as well as possible, take a bunch of good pictures in (not direct) natural light, and let it ride on the 'Bay. I'm sure you'll find interested bidders.
Nice seat post too!

Yup, my thoughts too.
Nice post and bars. Drive train looks promising.
Make sure the details are sorted too. Give it a good cleaning, match up the Ringle QR's, tires with air and in the correct direction, so on so forth.

Any idea what one would expect to pay for a Lawwill pro cruiser in the open market? I'd love to get my hands on one.

No....but it's not worth hundreds of dollars either. It's an ok transportation/starter/loaner/beater. The question should be.."whats it worth to you?" therein lies your answer.

It is actually not a bad frame. The components aren't much. Seems like it has good tires.
If you are trying to *sell* it, it isn't worth all that much. Maaybe $50 on craigslist? It is actually worlds better than the average Walmart crappy full suspension bike.
That said, if it were me, I'd rather give it someone who needed it, donate it to the local bike co-op, or keep it around as a bar bike I didn't have to worry about.

So would a Bridgestone MB-3 be worth restoring instead? I know where a free one is.

What are you after, a bike to ride or are you reselling? Niether bike is bad but niether one is great either. If you're after one to ride, which one fits better or just has your eye? The Bridgstone may have a bit more "class" because of the name but both bikes are just ok.

Not that bad. We'd have told you to ghost jump it if it was worthless.
Looks decently clean. We're assuming it works properly? If you really wanted to put a number value to it....$50 bucks maybe?
I'd agree with Nate and Hoov here.

whatdya waiting for - never turn down a freebie - at the very least i use freebies as tickets to the recyc center metal pile (after a component strip down) where sometimes folks drop off decent stuff
