    Need help IDing this "Mountaineer"

I knew that would get your attention.
OK, the only info I have on this bike the guy could give me is that it has a "Mountaineer" decal on the frame but none other mentioned. He says the fork says Tange, it has Takagi aluminum headset, and Shimano brakes and three piece cranks. I can tell from the pic that there are Suntour XC-2 pedals on it Sorry this is the only pic I have. So which Mountaineer is it? Sekai, Norco, Moots (I don't think so but can hope), or another? Note the center pull mounts, decal on the downtube I can't read but am guessing that's the "Mountaineer", and bullmoose bars
It's real far from me so I can't go look at it unless I know it's worth it, meaning more than the pedals- I already have some of those.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If you're in Canada, 99% it's a Norco.

Hard to tell much from that pic. From the pie-plate and the Pletscher rack I'm going to go out on a limb and opine that it is not a Moots.
    Don't call it a gooseneck.

I had a late 80's Sekai Mountaineer but I honestly remember almost nothing about it except that it was gray and heavy.

I think it may be a Dakota. I was trying to remember when I first say the picture, but thats what I think it is.
