    Mystery Fillet Brazed Frame

I know how all you guys love the mystery frame game so here is one for you.

    Mid 80s fillet Brazed

Has R&E Sticker on it, thy sold a lot of different bikes and made there own bikes in house. I emailed them awhile back and one guy says itís a R&E MTB frame from the first batch of mtbs they built and another guy at R&E said it was not.

Itís powder coated, itís not a recent powder coat, it is original

Has tapered stays with shimano dropouts

    Cinelli Diver cable stops

Itís had a lot of similarities to the Ross Team bikes, there is one at the pros closet but still a lot of differences.

Serial # T25, could be made by Tom Kellogg or maybe Teasdale, but his were TET #.

    Itís super light as well

    Thanks for any information

I owned and restored the one at TPC. Super light, it is not. It was made by Bill Stevenson who used a ton of brass on his fillets. It's a beautiful frame that rode really nicely, but it was kind of a pig. I actually don't see many common frame details between it and yours.

The Ross was the closest I could get in similarities to any other bike I compared it to.
It has a ton of brass, the seat tube collar is kind of similar and the Cinelli Diver cable stops. Haven't seen any other Ross team bikes, figured they were all a little custom to each rider.

I think its Toyo Made frame for R&E for the R&E Montana that ended up in production as a lugged bike, per Glenn Erickson. Waiting for more information.....
