Maiden voyage - 1997 Moots Ybb

First ride following my knee surgery 27 days ago. My left knee is now operating with a partial meniscus.

I bought this bike for $750, then proceeded to sell off the hodge-podge crap on it for $420. I did my best to build it up period correct from my parts bin.

Kiwi is a great biking dog. She hit a top speed of 26.1mph that nite.

My first time on a soft-tail and it was a pleasant ride. Unfortunately, the fork was topping out like crazy. The next day, during a fork inspection, all the cartridge oil had drained out into the leg. All fixed.

    Nice!

Since 2005 my daily rider has been a 1997 YBB SuperLight. Though my build is a bit more hodge-podge than yours, I am running '97 Race Face Turbines and Control Stix bar ends like on yours. I raced this bike a few weeks ago at the Laramie Enduro and had it on some of Moab's finest trails this spring. I have been averaging about 2000-2500 miles of dirt on it per year since 2005.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
