Does anyone have a source or link to the technical specifications for a rigid fork, particularly "standards" for cantilever and cam brake brake boss locations relative to the axle or some other landmark, and distance apart?
26" (559) 255 mm from the axle to boss and width 75-85 mm for canti-bosses.
I don't know the U-brake boss distances.
Thanks for that. Will you please direct me to the source for that info? Am looking for the technical "manual" that specifies these different configurations. Let's say I'm a newbie frame builder and I'm stocking my reference library. Someone told me Shimano actually published this info, but I can't find it after searching for days.

Those manuals were distributed to manufacturers and frame builders.
SSMike - Dude! Exactly what I was looking for. Right on. Thanks!
Any luck finding the end of the rainbow on my other search?
I'll check my old Shimano books today - doubtful, though on the u-brake specs. I bet if you hit up a frame builder who's been building since the dawn of the u-brake, they might have an old Shimano spec book.
