    John Slawta's Dirt Shark

I picked this bike up from the Facebook trading page and it was in rough shape- extremely dirty and components were thrashed. To top it off, the one piece bar/stem was bent.
I called John to get it fixed but he no longer does any steel.
I then did a search for who would repair it at a reasonable cost, and finally found Peter Dreesens in Pennsylvania.
He did a fantastic job and then when I asked John to repaint the stem, he asked for pix of the bike to get a color scheme match and then proceeds to tell me that this one was one of his personal bikes. Bonus!
Stem came back recently and all thrashed components were replaced with original correct.John Slawta's Dirt Shark-img_9753.jpg

That's a lovely bike, and good work getting it back to life.

Glad to see you've moved on from being a ControlTech fanboy and are now appreciating bikes that you used to call "clunkers".

    Grumps
