Has anyone got a pic of Tinker's General Cycles bike?

Just finished flipping through July-Dec 89 and all of 90. Very few, all B&W and only one that you can see the bike at all.

If you want I'll scan that one and upload it here Monday afternoon.

Also have a video of 90s Worlds. If there's a shot of him I'll see if someway to capture it (I'm pretty low tech so it might be a photo of the TV).

On the ther hand, there were a bunch of pics of Tomes on his all-Ti Mongoose - which made me happy since I didn't remember seeing those before.

There was an article in Winning that had full specs and photos from all angles. I have a copy in my storage...not something I'll likely find any time soon though.

There was actually no Axis then so the Arrival was the top of the line at that point.

Great pic. Dropouts look different than a DB Arrival... at least the '87 model.

Edit: And the seatstay to seat tube junction is different.

He used risers until he rode for Klein I think. He said he liked the feel, but he always seemed to have the shifters mounted on the bend for extra weird ergonomics.

He also always used a skinny 1.5 or 1.75 rear tire for weight. He was never too conventional with his setups.

General Bicycles was a brand started in New Jersey frames were made by Anlun, they were quite aggressive with their sponsorship in BMX and freestyle. They hit alot of price points in their line but were a bit harder to sell than the Stumpys back in the day.

Pretty sure I've never seen a General other than Tinker's.

Mtb or atb had little to no support as far as marketing but freestyle they dumped big bucks and lured big names back then. Come to think of it I dont remember a catalogue back then now that you mention it.

Anlen was quite a bug builder, so they might have welded the DB too...
