First issue of the Fat Tire Flyer

It might take me a while, but I plan to scan every issue of the Fat Tire Flyer. Anyone else with a scanner and a few copies is invited to do some of the work and email me the results.

Here is issue one, September 1980.

Freaking fantastic! Thank you Repack Rider. I love the old issues of your magazine, still am saving money to get a few off of you. Especially the cover with Cindy Whitehead and Phelan at the Sierra 7500.
Good friction shifting is getting hard to find nowadays....

Having scanned all the photocopied issues of the Flyer, I am starting on the large format issues, when it began looking like a magazine. Issue #8 has the cover photo of Marc Horwitz pulling the Tofu Trailer and an article about it. Lots of interesting names in the race results, and the .pdf files are now getting pretty big. Victor Vincente of America took a full page ad.

At the request of a forum member I scanned my 1979 article in Outside Magazine. Let me preface it by saying that the editing job changed me into someone else, and introduced errors of fact that I did not see before publication

Today's scans include two more issues of the FTF, and a bonus, the single issue of "Cycletoons," published in 1992 by several of the Flyer artists.
