I remember seeing these sometime after Ringle and I came out with peace signs and Fat Finger cable hangers.

John - you should share with the group the story of how you got the idea for the fat finger hanger design...
-

You asked for it! Myself, Ringle and Parker (yes Mister Yeti) were in our rented motor home in some parking lot across the street from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway awaiting Sundays race (don't even ask me what year, had to be early 90's) I was working on a new disk brake design between bong rips and tequila shots. Geoff and I were talking about our next years line up. At first we were thinking about the big stuff, shifting components etc. Then another bong rip and a shot of tequila. Then I said something like (being the old hippie that I was) how about a peace sign cable hanger. Another shot and bong rip and the next thing we know were watching our friend Paul Tracy zipping around the Speedway. Stop me if I get carried away!!! Anyway, several months later I see that my good friend Geoff has come out with this cool, peace sign hanger. WTF, Knowing it was just a case of not remembering who said what during a night of relaxation I responded with the Fat Finger. No harm done. Gotta love Mr. Ringle.

I never though much of the Fat Fingers until now. The story makes them.

Cool story!
To answer the original question, I think the company producing the skull hangers was called "Wicked". I should have one of those in original package. They are US-made.
-
Yeah, Wicked Racing is my recollection
-
I have a skull hanger kicking around somewhere. I think the last time I used it was on a Manitou Mach 5.

Wicked Components out of Arizona.
I have them on a couple of bikes.

Saw a faded red set of those red skulls go unsold on eBay for about $30 a few months back.
A set of NOS Fat Fingers in black was listed for $100 starting price auction or $150 BIN price and it sold for the BIN price within hours of the listing just hours ago.

Psycho Psycles made skull hangers too. I think on theirs the skulls were actually cast, and then added on to a CNC'd hanger. They were a lot more detailed than the Wicked ones.
