Conversation Piece - AMP research Easton Dagger

    Little info from the builder:

Just to be a little more correct, this was made by Dagger Mountain Bikes. The model is an FS (full suspension), 20" (measured to the top of the top tube), has a titanium spring ($100 option), construction of the front triangle is of Easton's 7005 alloy Elite tubing and it uses the AMP rear suspension. The finish is ball burnished with a clear powdercoat.

cool ride...Amp sure made some extra cash licensing that rear end...
I like how the seatstays and DT are about parallel..nice lines. Funny how GT never made something like this...fits right in with their triple triangle look.
The small pivots always worry me though...wish they were'nt so minimalist on those back then.
Is this something you still ride? How does it feel?

If you ride this frame, check it frequently for stress cracks. Easton's ProGram tubing was notorious for developing cracks under normal use.

    Great username!

I have no idea what your post means or how it fits in this thread, though.

I still love how clean early designs where. Simple, understated, ellagant, and really didn't work worth a rats butt. Lol lol

Color me baffled too. rb is normally so articulate, drunk posting, or maybe the new job stress is getting to him?

Sounds more like XR4TI than richie.....

As for the cracking alloy? Yep, got a ProFlex 957, cracked (badly) at the HT, and I ain't no Freeride grom either!

Perhaps not the same Ritchieb given the tenor of the post and his post count of "1"?

Or maybe mind-altering substances/circumstances as you suggest ...

Great minds think alike, we're the only visitors to his profile!

Doesn't sound like RB, but the coincidence is surprising.

Sorry for the derail, back to our regularly scheduled programming.....
