Any takers? We roll this Sunday. I have 4 loaner bikes up for grabs if anyone wants to try it out. The first course is super easy technical wise a great one to cut your teeth on.

This looks like a lot of fun. Wish I was closer. Now I'm tempted to organize a similar event in Tucson.

And this photo is desktop material, if you ask me. Hope it goes well!

Fantasy Island would be a great place to ride a coaster, I should know because we came out there last December and did it.

    Course #3

    Meet Point:

    July 21st

    7am

Santa Susana Pass road where it intersects with Rocky Peak Road and the 118 fwy.

Take 118 to Rocky Peak Road exit and go left, park where Rocky Peak intersects with Santa Susana Pass.

    Top O' The Mountain!

    Spectators: 5

    Meat Pylons: 4

    Breakage: 6

Loop style, loads of single track trails with some hike-a-bike sections and parts that will be hard to pass other riders. Each lap is about 1.5 miles long and we're doing 10 laps. Not a ton of steep climbs but no place to catch your breath so this will be the hardest one so far.

This thread's been a great inspiration. Old Schwinn Cimarron's in the stand as we speak and the Araya rim is getting a Bendix red band. Now, off to find some ultra high temp bearing grease.

You'd be surprised what one a can ride on a coaster brake!

    The last heat:

    July 28th 7am

    Meet point:

    Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

6401 Platt Ave, West Hills CA 91367

    The Bunny Run

    Spectators: 6

    Meat Pylons: 6

    Brakeage: 5

Loop style about 1.5 miles long. 5 laps, then you have to complete the bonus challenge! One Short but punctuated climb, some fire road a fair amount of single track and some sections that split and rejoin so you have some choices, not all of them good mind you. Afterwards a raffle and then some sandwich fixins' Stick around. Get fed, you've earned it.
