New question here. cassette mechanism on suntour xc pro 7spd hub: adjustable?

I like thes old hubs, just reinjected the bearing grease, notice some play in freewheel mechanism, It looks adjustable for bearing play {these are not the actual axle bearings}, I just cant get the axle bearing race that holds on the freewheel mech to budge. is this adjustable, do I just buy fresh bearings to slightly reduce play or find another cassette mech? Thanks much in advance

Is it a cassette or a free wheel?

It may be similar to freewheels that use a micro-shim system to adjust the bearings in the mechanism. You would have to totally disassemble the cassette shell from the inner race by removing a very hard to remove lock-ring. Unless, the play is detrimental, I'd leave it alone. Cassette bodies and freewheel bodies never seem "right" after going through that much disassembly and reassembly.
