    Breezer Lightening Single Speed

Hi all. I'm not much of one to post. But use to frequent here to see what's going on.

Well, a few years back I purchased from a local rider this Breezer Lightening single speed. The rider, Curtis Eastin, use to be the Breezer Team Manager. And he approached Joe (if I may address him by first name basis) to request a single speed. And Joe obliged by giving him a cracked frame that could be repaired and made into a single speed. Done by Joe's frame repair guy, and with Joe's blessing. I've included a scan of the letter that Curtis recently gave to me authenticating such.

Curtis believes this is the first Breezer single speed. If I could have Mr. Breeze substantiate this it would really be great. But I'll still take it as a really neat bike to have.

I have attended the Lost Cabin Classic and displayed this bike, along with some others.

    Hope you enjoy.

    Daniel

Lost Cabin Classic or Old Cabin Classic? I don't recall seeing this bike there.

Very cool back story on it though! Having the quill stem extended that much makes me nervous for you.

Oops. Old Cabin Classic. My bad.

Been there the last two years. First year I raced/displayed my Mt Goat Whiskeytown Racer (Yellow/Pink). Last year I worked as course marshal. I rode the Breezer to my station but returned it to the venue at some point.

We met there the first year. Didn't see you last year.

What year is the frame? Is that an early Breezer stem? I really love the paint scheme. It took me a while to find a backdraft wheel set but but I finally have one on the way for my 97 Breezer Lightning.

Yep! I remember you. Not sure how I missed that Breezer at the venue last year though. First year I was just a spectator, last year I raced and got my ass kicked.
I'll be there again this year but probably only to spectate.
