    New question here. Brat pack?

Being bugging me for a couple of days - what was the mountain bike that hung on the wall and was ridden by Emilio Estevez in St. Elmo's Fire?

There it is! I always used to think Muddy Fox, but that was just my anglo-centric attitude at the time.

I can think of worse songs to have stuck in my head.

    And the answer is?
Zip ties? Not on my bike!

    Want:
    650B rims or wheel set. 80's vintage 32 or 36 x 135mm

Diamondback with the decals removed. Or maybe a Rockhopper. Hollywood always removes the decals and emblems off bikes and cars. You ever notice in that Lee jeans commercial with Bret Favre that none of the trucks in the background say Ford or Dodge on them anywhere?

Movie was released 1985, so bike was probably an '84 - I think rockhoppers were only blue or red before about '87 - don't know much about Diamond Backs from that era though. I was hoping someone would give me an exact ID! Like one of the many threads where someone asks about the Seinfeld bikes.

Is that the only scene with the bike? (I don't think I've watched that movie in about 20 years.) If so good looking ID'ing it.

I was living in DC soon after it came out. We were more interested in identifying the bars where it was filmed than the bike that he was riding.
Each bicycle owned exponentially increases the probability that none is working correctly.

I'm sure I remember a scene where he pulls it off the wall and rides across town on it to rescue Demi Moore from her interior designer (or something).
