Back with a Bontrager, looking for fork advice.....

Hi, Just bought this 98/99 Privateer Comp on EWBay for a ridiculous price, misadvertised as a RaceLite which beat the price down. Looked a bit sketchy in photos but once I cleaned it up it's a real gem with excellent original paint. I know it's not built in Santa Cruz and yes, I know the difference having owned real RaceLites and even a TiLite in the past. I plan on building it up semi retro with Shimano M750 as a 1x9. I'm looking to use a Salsa Cromoto rigid fork as I had one on a Litespeed Obed and really liked it. Have any of you tried a Cromoto on a Bontrager or have other suggestions that worked for you? It has the 1 1/8 steertube and is suspension corrected so I have several options. Thanks and I look forward to being back in Bonty land even if it's from Wisconsin.Back with a Bontrager, looking for fork advice.....-dsc_2051.jpgBack with a Bontrager, looking for fork advice.....-dsc_2052.jpg

I had a Salsa Cromoto on mine - it's a wise choice. It's the right geometry and it's a quality, inexpensive rigid fork.
