Anyone remember the wavy Roox cranks?

They were not straight crank arms but cnc´d wavy type with oval machined holes, anyone remember these?? These were the coolest cranks that has ever been built.

I don't know about that. My vote for coolest would go to Caramba Doublebarrels, Boone Twists, Morati, or Sweet Wings.
Need: McMahon brake for roller cam mounts, Mountain Goat fork.

I remeber the double barrels too, once upon a time like 15 years ago I had the german "bike" magazine yearly catalog with all the goodies in it. Those were the days.

I did a google search on the roox cranks came up with zilch. Strange. I even had the Roox catalog when they were available.

My vote for coolest crankarms goes to Sweet Wings.

My vote for most superfluous crankarms goes to Onza's cast titanium money-toilets.

Did those ever make it to market? Other than the magazine article I don't think I've ever seen any.

I don't think they did. I saw pictures of revised prototypes--ribs to increase spider stiffness, different lightening holes--but that's as far as it went. They were projected to cost about $600. Outrageous.
