I googled and searched here, tried to find a pic from the one at MBHOF. I remember something special about the stem. Anybody got pics?

Such a cool bike, what year is that DC? I'd love to find one of Don's older bikes!

I was helping Carole at the MBHOF back in the day and that special item had a funny way of coming and going.
A bike by any other name is still a bike.

Haha- That was when the MBHOF was in the back of the kite shop right? All the bikes were just sitting out and I grabbed the stem wondering what the chunk of wood was intended for...I replaced it and never put it to use but it looked like it had been put through the ringer! I wonder if it's still there?

    colorado cyclery

don was partners with mike rust. mike was the wrench at bicycles etc.(neal murdoch) and made most of the good mountain bikes in crested butte in the beginning. the shorties were cool, but my favorites were their highwheelers.
