    91 catalyst headset size.

    Greetings,
    I have a 1991 Brodie catalyst with a Manitou Three fork. The headset is shot I think it is a 1inch threaded headset I need does anyone know if this is correct.

    It's a bit hard to tell from the perspective on your pic, but it should be a 1". 1990 and '91 Catalysts had 1" standard. 1 1/8" wasn't standard until '93.

    Measure the quill part of your stem. If it's slightly less than 1" across the diameter, you'll know it's a 1".

    Thanks and thanks. do you mean measure the part of the stem that meets the headset? I just never have heard the term the quill of the stem.

    The quill is the part of the stem that sticks down into the steerer tube on the fork.
