Looks nice. I think I'd go with a black seat though. So, how's it ride?

That paint really pops. Do you have a separate build thread? I'm not familiar with these bike but would enjoy the backstory. Very nice!

Cool bike. I think the build misses the mark for me a bit, but overall very cool.

can you post some close-ups?especially the fork area?
very cool bike, I rode a girvin fork for many years and loved it. I like the combination of an Action Tec/Girvin fork on it. They have a travel issue but for XC racing, it's prob perfect. The leading link can do things telescopes just cannot do...at least the "j" travel on a Girvin was that way.

funny, I thought the same hting, but most period correct bikes have long stems...I find that even on them older bikes, a shorter stem handles better...but its a bike and we all have a dif. feel. Thing is, if you dont try little tweaks, you will never know.

I did have a bit of a build thread going
    1997 Nukeproof Reactor
The stem was the original that came with it so that is what went back on.. for now.
As for the ride I have yet to take it out for a real ride. Between the flu and the sub-zero temps it may have to wait until spring. I have had several people tell me that the handling on these is pretty squirrelly but I guess that is the fun of it.
I like the seat color being something beside black, I have a lot of finished bikes and sometimes it is nice to switch it up.
Rumpfy, what would you have done differently?
I will post some closeups of the fork when I get a chance. Cheers

    Chris
