    1993 Brave Warrior (Grove build)

Always lusted after a late Brave ECS. Here's my 1993 Brave Warrior (Grove build) with black Shimano and Tioga Parts.

Clean all black build rounded out nicely with the matching Tioga kit. I like those Revolver cranks.

    Very cool build.

Cranks are the icing on the cake.

One of these days I really need to add a Bill Grove bike to my stable.

Great looking build! I really like the extra burly looking e-stay design on those later model braves. They look much stronger.

It's good to see another 1993 brave as I have been looking for info on my 1993 brave ti racer. It has a similar color pattern as yours, but with a fade to white instead of blue. Yours is the fisrt '93 brave I have seen other than mine.

I have been looking for info on what the original rigid fork is that were put in these '93s. Do you happen to know what kind of rigid fork yours came with? Mine came with an old 90's telescopic fork, which is garbage and I want to get a rigid to replace it.

Black Brave labeled Tange Big Fork as seen on many Braves during the early 90s.

had one of those back in the day

bought it from doug gloyd himself at his furniture workshop in prescott, az. "the last of the lot," he told me as he dragged the box out of the back of his pickup. "kinda sad to see them go."

real purdy paint. built it up more or less as pictured but never liked the way it felt riding. built like a tank, rode like one, too.

sold it to bushpig. pretty sure he bought it for parts.

I overhauled this for a friend to use as his neighborhood rider. XT shifters with Campagnolo rims and pedals. Had to put a new Sunrace freewheel cassette in place of the old Dura Ace that was shot out. Still have the old Specialized gum wall tires that were on it but they are pretty worn and weathered. Decided to go with these WTB hard pack tires to tackle the mean streets of the suburbs in Elk Grove California.1993 Brave Warrior (Grove build)-img_0590.jpg1993 Brave Warrior (Grove build)-img_0591.jpg1993 Brave Warrior (Grove build)-img_0592.jpg1993 Brave Warrior (Grove build)-img_0522.jpg1993 Brave Warrior (Grove build)-img_0523.jpg1993 Brave Warrior (Grove build)-img_0524.jpg
