    1991 Off Road Toad, #172

Here's another recently finished project that's been a long time coming. After a very lengthy search, I finally got my Toad. It's a (later) DeKerf made Off Road Toad, #172. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to ride it yet!
It's one of those bikes that started off looking like hell, but with the right parts and effort, ends up looking like a true classic mountain bike.

Again I'll let the photos tell the story.

That looks way nicer after you fixed it. Hope it rides as nicely as it looks!

Ha, thanks guys! When I do a search for 'Toad' (or something similar here), you can see me wanting one a good 10 years back....took that long to get here.

@Laffaux - I sure as hell hope it rides as good!

Well...this one is already on it's second paint job after Chris DeKerf did a top tube replacement (as is my understanding of it's history).
Just need to find the time to start putting miles on it!

    Ohhh, that fork!

I had one of those forks, once. A buddy was advertising that he was looking for one, and as I had it on a beater bike, I traded him for an old nameless fork. After I did it, I regretted my action, but, what can you do.

Years later, the beater bike was stolen from my barn, so now I'm glad I traded it (i.e., gave it away).

That's a cool bike, Rumpfy, enjoy. I'll post a pic of my latest purchase soon.
