    Nice bike. New find?

Needs a new chain (or a LOT of lube), and some black cloth tape, never was a fan of the multi colored cork....
This is a Pugs not some carbon wannabee pretzel wagon!!

The bike has been sitting locked up in a bike rack here at the local college untouched for the past 4 years.

The beginning of the summer I asked the campus police about it. They posted claim notices. I went around to all the campus dorms trying to find the owner with no luck.

I figured I'd be hitting the college auction at the end of the summer to throw a bid in.

Yesterday morning they called me and told me I could have it.

It is in great shape considering 4 years of rain, wind, snow and sun. All bearings are still buttery smooth. Seatpost and stem weren't stuck. Chain doesn't even have any sticky links just some light surface rust.

Needs bar tape and a nice set of vintage tires.

I'll post after pics when it's done.

It's not quite done, but close. Bar tape.

Does anyone know how to rap bar tape?

No one here has a Peloton.

This is my second. On the large size though.

    Rumpfy sucks.

I think my biggest beef with road bikes is their gaudy graphics. This bike looks nice.

I grew up on road bikes.

I'm a tad confused. Wrapping bars isn't hard. You go on to say no one has a Peloton around here. Are you under the impression something different was done because of what the bike is?

Or, do you want it to look just like the pics in the literature?

That catalogue is likely Benotto Cello tape. Found some here...

It's not comfy, but it shore do look period

Otherwise, just wrap it in cork, cheap and plentiful.

If you meant you need a how to?

You are definitely NOT the only one with a Peloton. I have an '85. And you won't see me starting a thread about it.

    Original bar tape.

I think. I know that this bike hasn't been touch in almost four years.

Why would you let a super nice bike be abandoned?

Does everyone just sit one the internet?
