    1985 Sekai 2750 Mountain Bike

I picked up a rowdy looking old Sekai, wondering if anyone knows anything about it... can't find a darn thing on Google.

You have any pics you can post of it? I just got done rebuilding and repainting my 85 Sekai 2750. It is a beast and rides smooth! I'll post pics soon.

"It's a beast and rides smooth". I think you summed it up perfectly. Rowdy, yet refined. The bike was sweet.

This bike had some really cool parts on it. The wide-split handlebar clamps, the all-metal thumb shifters, and the rear derailleur were what really stuck out to me. The picture I got doesn't really do the rear derailleur justice

I'm not sure if I can post links yet, but I'll try:

Did you get rid if the bike? You talk about it in past tense.

Yes. Sold it- the frame was too big for me.

I think I bought it from you if you sold it in Phoenix. you will not believe what it looks like today. I will take some pics this weekend and post on Sunday. I completely stripped the bike and had it powder coated. Put Brooks saddle, Brooks grips and some Civia Bamboo fenders and a Civia rear rack with Bamboo platform. Had all the components degreased and rebuilt.

That was probably me. Small world. I seem to recall a slight drizzle that day. Would love to see pics of it in its newfound glory.
