    1983 Mountain Goat Escape Goat

Picked this up this 22" beauty from the original owner. He said he bought it new in '87 although the serial indicates it was made in '83. There is some touch up paint and a duct tape chain guard but it is otherwise in great shape with the original build (except for a replacement saddle).

Very nice indeed, like the paint theme a lot and that fork is quite a beauty, IMHO I would also think the creation date is closer to 83' than 87'. Is the frame un-filed fillet brazing, or is that tig? It's sending me mixed messages. In either case, sweet find and enjoy

looking at that bike vs my current bike, I cannot believe we ripped our faces off long and hard for endless miles at top speed on these rigs....in all conditions, chunk, roots, mud....those were the days

Wow that's awesome. Love that matching pump, and how it is stored in the rear triangle - what could go wrong?

That rear brake cable hanger is awesome, I have not seen that design before

Living in Chico in the mid80s this was the cool bike to have. Always wanted one, but out of my price range. Loved the camo and splatter paint jobs on the Goats.
