    1980's Thrreaded fork Problem

    Bike stripped down. everything off, only problem is the forks just will not budge....... any tips apart from wd40 on to the threads.... HELP!!!! ps threads are good and not crossed threaded

    The fork won't budge or the headset won't budge?

    yeah, did you remove the headset locknut and bearing race yet? Then it's hammer time!

    Lots of PB Blaster and let it sit for a few hours, put a 2x4 on top and hit it with a air hammer.

    If the headset is removed there's nothing holding the fork in place. If an upper portion of threaded headset is still in place a hammer is not the answer.

    Check that your keyed washer hasn't spun
    looking for 20-21" P team
