    1980's specialized stumpjumper??

Hello, i have an 80's stumpjumper sport. I really don't know much about it other than how it rides. I am curious to know if it's worth anything.
here is my bike:<img src="http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/shioritsasaki/DSC00032.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"><img src="http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/shioritsasaki/DSC00035.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"><img src="http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/shioritsasaki/DSC00036.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"><img src="http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/shioritsasaki/DSC00033.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">the rear brake is positioned on the chainstay.<img src="http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b174/shioritsasaki/DSC00037.jpg" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com">If anyone knows anything about this bike, please tell me.

Nice vintage Stumpy! I'm no expert, but I can tell you it's a late 1980s bike because it has a rollercam rear brake. That was most common from around about '86 to '89 (give or take). The experts here can help more, but that's a start. It looks like it has mostly (if not all) original components, which should help the value. I won't venture a price.

Here's a link with more info:

Based on First Flight (excellent site and I believe the owner posts here), it looks like you have a 1986 bike based on model and color, although your rear brake doesn't match the list.

"Mass produced" bikes such as your Stumpy generally aren't worth as much as the custom stuff of the same era.

It's a very cool bike, but IMO, you're not sitting on a gold mine.

Do an eBay search....first thing you should always do. Google search next.
