1969 Huffy Seapointe?
I've never heard of it. A friend of mine has this bike (see pictures below, it's the green one) and he offered it to me as a trade for some simple work. He just needs some new cables and a tune up on another bike. It's a good deal, but what is it? He said it's a 1969 Huffy Seapointe, but I can't find much to support that. Is it a ladies bike? Is that the right year? Any information anyone could supply would be awesome! The bike is about 3 hours away so pictures are all I have.

Thanks again!

Do the simple work, make him watch and help so he can do it himself the next time.
Take the Huffy, get it working OK, give it to Goodwill.

Yes it's a lady's frame, a mixte style to be exact, and it's worth its weight in scrap except to someone that can and will use it. The mixte frame looks pretty cool, I have to say.
If in doubt, assume sarcasm

Thanks wv_bob. I looked up the frame style and I kind of got the impression that a mixte style frame was unisex. I am toying with the idea of making it a winter project. I would strip it, paint it, update any components that are too far gone and ride it along a paved bike path in town. Just to have something unique.

It's not actually unique. I can't imagine paying more than 30-50 bucks on it.

My life is a never ending conveyor belt of projects. If you think it will give you fulfillment for a job well done, go for it. Sell it to someone who needs a commuter at a really low price. A 30 dollar bike in road worthy condition is the world to someone who needs it. That gets you good karma too
