Stabilizing a Gopro on a helmet?

    Hi

I have the Gopro 1080 installed on my cross-country helmet using the vented helmet mount and it doesn't budge.

Now what i've noticed is that no matter how much I tighten my helmet, there is always a bit of shaking going on. I can actually feel the helmet moving around a bit, like the camera's weight is a factor. Problem is I can't tighten it anymore as it gives me a headache!

Maybe i'm expecting too much? Or does someone have a trick for this?

Your head is always shaking... there is no eliminating this.

Would a handlebar mount be better or worse (I'm thinking suspension working...)?

I like the chest-mounts... hard to get the right angle though. This guy's video comes out decent despite pretty bumpy terrain.

    Thanks
I'll try a chest mount and see what the results are.

What shooting mode are you using? The r5 shooting mode (1080p) has a narrower field of view which makes things look shakier. If you are using this mode, try switching to r2 or r3 and see if it makes a difference.

Ive found that trying to get the chesty as tight as you can stand it and think "smooth" while youre riding kinda works. YMMV
