Thanks. Lucky enough to live in CO.

I am a little meticulous about my equipment and my riding buddies give me crap about it all the time. However, years ago I found that five minutes with a damp rag will keep your bikes looking clean and it makes sure you inspect them after any ride.

    Thanks. It's at 1080 Wide, 30fps.

I would like to find a way to show the terrain more accurately. Many trail sections that are pretty steep and technical look flat in videos (the 5-31-14 video, in the beginning where everyone is walking that section). Not sure if a different setting or mount point would help.

Nope. That's just the nature of POV videos.

    Nice.

The wide angle lens just can not capture the feel of elevation change. I have a garmin virb elite which has gps and lets me embed elevation (and other sensor) data.

Another option is to occasionally put a few frames in your video of the elevation chart from your garmin edge. Dispersed with an accessional map it can be a nice effect.

How is that your videos are so smooth? Mine always come out real choppy on youtube. The source file is GoPro MP4. Any suggestions?

It might be YouTube. I'm not an expert but they seem to encode a lot of videos at SD. When I started using Vimeo and uploading in HD, I noticed a difference.

I don't disagree but I've found with the chest mount you mostly hear my maxed out heart rate in the videos which is why I started adding music.

I really need to try some other mounts.
