    Snow ride on a Mukluk

Cross post from Front Range. Borrowed a Salsa Mukluk for a snow ride after our first real storm this year.

Strapped my Roam to the bike using my helmet mount. I wouldn't use this on a regular basis, but for a one time ride, it worked just fine.

With the flat light and snow, the raw video came out pretty gray and lifeless, but I used the auto contrast feature in Adobe Premier Elements and I think it did a pretty good job, for the most part. You can see more of the obstacles in the snow, anyway - probably about as well as I could see things.

It was about 18 degrees with about 3" of fresh snow out there. I saw 2, maybe 3 other bike tire tracks, all fat tires, too. Very nice to be out there. I love the hush of the woods when the trees and ground are coated with fresh snow.

    Beautiful video!

Haven't heard Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker for a looong time - it went really well with the snowy silence of the ride. Seasonal too! Cool. Rep to follow...
