A short downhill at Patapsco in MD.

Just a video of the old access road down hill to Avalon on the Howard County side of Patapsco. I usually hit around 28 mph on this one. That seems to be the fastest I'm willing to go on my bike, I'm finding. Hope you enjoy.

Yeah. After a few miles of single track. You paid off with a fast / fun downhill.

Well for me it was college when that song came out. I associate a lot of 90's music with my passion for mountain biking, skiing, and of course beer. LOL

Hi Craigpool, How far is this trail from Baltimore? I'm going to Baltimore on the November 5, 6, and 7th to accompany my wife. Any bike shop around Baltimore that rent 29'r bike? How about pay shuttle service to and from the trail then back? I could get a car rental too if no shuttle is available. Thanks for any input.

There are numerous places to access the trail. The shop closest to mtb trail access is The Hub C'ville bikes (~1 milie from the Hilton Area entrance).

Here is some nice map info (of other areas of Patapsco as well)

There are a bunch of bike shops in Baltimore / Ptap area. Most rent bikes. Where in Baltimore are you going to be? Downtown you have Race Pace. On the North West side you have Princeton in Towson. Somebody already recommended the Hub in catonsville. In Columbia, you have another Princeton, a Performance, and another Race Pace. I think there is a Race Pace in Ellicott City also. Lot of places to choose from. If you are down town Baltimore, Race Pace is probably your best bet. You might even be able to catch a ride! The Avalon area of Ptap is about 20 minutes South of Bmore.
