Questions about GoPro3 black compatibility with GoPro Hd.

Ok, I know what my wife is getting me for x-mas but I was wondering if any of the batteries, lcd bacpack and chassis will fit the new Gopro 3? I checked on gopros website, but it was sort of vauge. Thanks guys.

I don't know anything about the HD Hero, except I didn't think any of the bacpacs worked with it. The Hero2 bacpacs WILL fit the Hero3. The Hero3 does not fit in a Hero2 housing. (Hero3 is smaller) BUT...I was happy to see that when I use my LCD bacpac on the Hero3 I can use the back doors that came with the LCD bacpac on the new Hero3 housing. The Hero2 battery is not compatible with the Hero3, but I believe the Hero2 battery bacpac will power the Hero3. Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

By the way, there is a 20$ offer today in gopro with free shipping. i just ordered the Hero3 with a free battery pack.

Is that on their website? I have the just the gopro1, so it looks like nothing on that is compatible with the 3 at all.

The bacpac will fit, but the housing and batteries are different. The new HERO3 battery is is more block shaped then the older versions flat one.

Yep you were right. The old LCD backpac works great on the black series. It's a great camera by the way.
