Oregon Scientific ATC 3k

I just picked up the Oregon Scientific ATC 3k from REI for $80. I just want something that shoots basic videos and am fine with vga. However, I noticed when I got home that the field of view is only 48 degrees. I also found some youtube videos show with it that look really bad.

Has anyone used it? I'll try it out but will probably be returning it at REI and picking up the GoPro 960.

I tried it out and it's way too shaky. I'm glad I bought it at rei and not online.
