    Misc Shore videos

Might as well confine these rambling bits and bytes to one thread

Corkscrew, North Vancouver on the Norco LT 6.1

March 22, 2010 ride & the lower trails are snow free. Climbed on the trails and road to the Corkscrew trailhead & dropped in.

Filmed with a GoPro HD worn with the chest mount & a Panasonic Lumix FX35

After a rough ride on Corkscrew I opted for an even rougher ride on Pingu.

Pipeline, North Vancouver - RM Altitude 29er from Lee Lau on Vimeo.

Rode Pipeline on Fromme in North Vancouver with Sharon. I'm testing a Rocky Altitude 29er and wanted to explore its ability in technical trails. Sharon's on a Norco Vixa.

Filmed with a GoPro HD on a chest mount and a Canon T1i

very cool, except for the handlebar cutouts in those trees, that just doesn't seem right.

oh yeah. I remember that now. That trail is one used by a ton of North Shore gorbs who don't know how to bar-tweak to get around tight trees - also they're hampered by the current fashion of 30" bars (presumably wide enough so you can hang a straw basket). Therefore the cut outs to dumb it down for the newbies. As you can tell I'm not too impressed by that too

More wet and wild Norco LT 6.1 - April 22, 2010 from Lee Lau on Vimeo.

Here's another video. Skied one run but it was pretty lousy snow (icy and looked like it was going to rain) Came back down and Rode Kill Me Thrill Me April 23 2010. Tight twisty trees with some flowy sections ending with rock slabs. A fun ride with lots of variety

The 29er did fine. I'd say that trail is basically its limits

Pemberton - April 24, 2010 - We rode up Happy Trail then over to Cream Puff. I was on the RMB Altitude 29er. Sharon was on the Norco Vixa. I love this trail - can't seem to get enough of it

We rode this loop which includes 870m of climbing if you throw in a bit extra to get to the paraglider launch. Over 130 switchbacks and a technical very interesting climb - a darn sight more interesting than the old fire road cook-your-brains out grind.

The downhill is "Stimulus" a new Pemberton trail. This trail drops 870m or about 2700ft to the valley floor for full value for your climbing money. It's got steeps, rock faces, and is 90% singletrack

Happy Trail - Nimby - Let It Go - Stimulus loop - Pemberton May 8 2010 from Lee Lau on Vimeo.

Squamish --- 68 berms 102 tabletops - Half Nelson. Go easy on Sharon - she wasn't tryingto do air and was concentrating on prejumping the lips

Not another Half Nelson from Lee Lau on Vimeo.
