    Midland XTR-100 Action Cam

I recently discovered a new or what I find to be new action camera out on the market. Its made by midland, a pretty decent company as far as outdoor electronics. It has the following features:

    140 degree wide angle lens
    480p Standard Definition Vidoa @ 30fps
Capabable of up to a 32gb Micro SD card
Comes with helmet mount, goggle mount, handlebar mount

I just wanted to know if anyone has used one yet or heard any good/bad about them. I would like to get one but cant find many reviews yet. Thanks

480p is not gonna be very sharp, especially if you are filming bumpy downhill with speed.

I suggest that you look up 480p on youtube. Then watch some 960p on youtube and you'll see what I mean.

I have hundreds of hours of 720x480 SD video that is sharp. Much of that footage was also shot on "bumpy downhill with speed."

Attributing the video quality simply to a difference in vertical resolution (be it capture or delivery resolution) is nonsensical.
I have no idea what I am talking about....

It's all about HD, if u ain't got no HD, u r behind in da times, LOL!

Why do you think that a vertical resolution of 480 lines will yield video that is not very sharp when you're filming bumpy downhill with speed?
I deflect to screw with people...it worked on you...

That's not screwing with someone. That's making someone laugh.

    At you.

My GOD you are slow, I was wondering if you were ever gonna get it? That was the point all along.

Answer: No idea? Enrich me, please.

    Sorry, school's out chump.

Do your own research/gain your own experience.

Or just keep posting nonsense, as it's pretty funny stuff.
Glad you find some humor here...and you keep on replying...so this thing just keeps going, LOL!

996TT, you seem to be ok with the idea of the midland, do you feel that it will work for me? I basically am just a weekend warrior, hit a few drops for 4-5 feet but nothing more and nothing of a true downhill nature, just short decents after a pain in the ass uphill climb.

I just cant justify spending the 299 on a go pro because I feel I wont use it as much as I paid for it.

Jus looking for a little advice here. Thanks
