Messing around with GoPro camera angles

I just got another MTB, and decided to try out some mounts. The carbon frame really resonates with the handlebar mount. I had to kill all frequencies below about 60hz in iMovie otherwise my sub was shaking my house just watching a video of my bike in the yard.

I definitely like the chest mount the best, but I'll use a low-profile clip mount with two short 90-degree extenders to get a little more forward-facing of an angle compared to the video below.

    Anyways, it was fun.

I think if you add extenders, it'll make the camera less stable, but I guess testing it can prove that. What I do is mount upside down and tilt it up, so it faces up a bit, I get a lot less of the bike and more of what's ahead.

I just got my GoPro about a week ago. It has been a lot of fun. I want to get the chest mount too. I like that shot with the arms in it. Looks pretty cool. I was reading on some forum that some people mount the GoPro on the chesty upside down to get a little better shot and it also supposedly helps with the vibration. I made this quick video the first day I got my camera and tried to get a bunch of differnet angles. I tried the one on my frame that captures the handle bars on my mountain bike, but I end up bumping the camera when out of the saddle climbing. Hopefully my video gives you some other ideas for placement. I reccomend the "Roll Bar Mount". I even mounted it on my roof rack for some driving to the trailhead shots.

Upside down mode works on the chesty.

that's your service blocking not Utube

I don't like the Vimeo limit either.... also I have issues all the time when trying to watch videos off vimeo as it doesn't allow me to select resolution or window size to watch and it stutters and sputters if I'm in a low speed connection.. annoying

    good tests vids guys..

I do think if you were on trails there MTBG33k that the roll cage mount will be bouncing around too much... best I've seen with the Go Pro is the chesty (upside down mounted like everyone has said)
Going to try and bring Trail Tire TV back. go take a look... http://trailtiretv.blogspot.com/
