Imagine when I tried a ride recently that I last rode in my late 40s and completed albeit much slower now at 63.
The slopes are much steeper and longer than they used to be. Something about tectonic drift/shift causes it.
And to think I used to do it 4 times in a day on my 18 speed Rockhopper and never lose any breath. 27 speed barely pulled it off now.
Where's the fail? I was expecting a good crash or something......
The fail was not being able to ride all the way up the hill. A 27 tooth cog isn't going to cut it. Going to need a 32 tooth cog.
The fail is not being able to ride all sections of that trail on the way down. I think once I get some skills going again I can ride most of it. Some of those sections I'll only be able to do by lowering my seatpost. Which isn't going to happen since it's seized to the frame..hahaha.
