GoPro HD video playback on a PS3

The "older" PS3's have memory card slots. Pop out the SD card from the camera. Insert the SD card into the PS3.

Pretty easy to find the videos on the SD card.

On a HDTV it looks great.

It has slow motion playback. The newer "slim" PS3's don't have memory card slots.

Now if I can figure out the video editing software

Very nice, thanks for that update. I purchased a ps3 for the (almost) sole intention of being able to watch my avchd videos from my canon vixia hf100. Good to know it works natively with the gopro vids too.

My newer PS3 works great for displaying 1080p videos. I can play the videos direct from the GoPro camera on usb mode or copy the video to the PS3 hard drive and watch it whenever. This was a sweet solution because I own 5 computers between home, office, and laptop, none of which can do a proper HD playback.
Consciousness, that annoying time between bike rides.

I have the nonHD gopro and even though it is Motion JPEG video (supposedly supported by PS3), it won't play on my PS3.
