    GoPro HD Help.

I've just got my GoPro HD camera and the quality when I play it back on the TV looks great.

However when I uploaded it onto Vimeo it looks somewhat less than great.

It's taken straight from the camera to my PC then uploaded onto Vimeo without editing.

first try out with my GoPro HD unedited from singlespeed stu on Vimeo.

So where am I going wrong?

Any help that's as simple as possible for a noob like me to follow would be great thanks.

I prefer youtube HD to vimeo now. I think the quality is better, and it doesn't limit you to one HD upload/500mb per week (unless you pay $60 per year for Vimeo plus). You can even embed in HD.

As for your video, the sky looks overcast. Try shooting again on a bright sunny blue sky day. The difference with the GoPro is noticeable.

    Overcast day:

    Sunny day:

I don't even take my GoPro out on overcast days anymore.

That could create some problems living as i do in the UK.

    Thanks for the help though.
There does seem to be a massive difference in your two clips.

Can anyone explain why it looks good on my TV but not on Vimeo/Youtube though?

Something always seems to degrade when uploading to a server. Vimeo used to convert all videos to 24fps. I don't know if they ever ended up fixing this:

Stu what settings did you use?

In case anyone know the response:

Does youtube support gopro 1280x720 hd with 60-fps?

I see the slowmo clip uploaded by gopro of the surfer and it looks clean. NO artifacts etc.

I found this setting (3) seem to help with low light. But is pointless if cannot display 60fps via the web.

The rattle is highly annoying, both for us and yourself.

    One Speed.

The GoPro is on all the default settings except I've switched it to the PAL setting for my UK TV.

    fux.

    Thanks for that link.

I kept looking at the orange rubber bit and wandering what it was for!

Seems to stop all the rattle.

How'd you get your Youtube clips to link with a picture like that?
