    gopro chest mount strap too low?

    today was the first day i used my gopro hero and go pro chest mount hardness. i shifted the chest mount as high as possible but always shoots my handle bars. does anyone have a solution to shoot a little higher?

    Invert the snap-in clip in the harness. Then mount the camera upside down. In this position, you can angle it up and out, so that in your dh crouch, its pointed straight forward, instead of straight down.

    There is a setting in the camera to invert the recording so that the files aren't recorded upside down.

    Or, you can invert the file in post processing, but this requires re-encoding which will lose some fidelity. If you do invert on the pc, do it while you also do your main edit, so you're only doing your re-encode once. Make sense?

    What he said! Also, it's ok to leave your handlebars in the bottom of the vid; it's more fun to watch that way because it gives a bit more perspective of the aspects of the ride. I always like to check out my speed on the bike computer while watching the vids to see how fast I actually am going on some of the more sketchy sections where I cannot look at the speedo in real time.


    Makes the crashes look cooler too!
