    GALLERY: Top MTB Videos

[Mods—it would be great if someone could sticky this! ]

With so many great MTB videos around, I thought it would be cool to start a gallery thread—a place where we can post (or repost) some of the best videos we find. The gallery can be a place where the best vids are found and a source of inspiration for other videomakers.

I realize that terms like "top" and "best" are subjective (and I'm by no means suggesting that only I'm qualified to judge!)...but I think 99% of us would agree that videos like the ones below fit the description. Maybe once a year we could have an awards contest or something—"The MTBR Oscars" or something like that.

With that said, here are 7 great videos (collected from elsewhere on MTBR) to start things off...

Local Trails ala CX by Andy Wardman

Local trails ala cx from Andy Wardman on Vimeo.

Turner DW 5 Spot by Philip Tschersich

Turner dw 5 Spot from Philip Tschersich on Vimeo.

A Mountain Biking Film: Wharncliffe Woods by www.maiamedia.co.uk

John Muir MTBing Video - 2010 by poontank3

18 Road - Fruita, CO by Jonathan Bruneau

Lupine Nightride Video by Sebastian Doerk

    Dolomighty by Colin Stewart

Dolomighty from Big Col on Vimeo.

I'm sure folks here know of other great vids...so add 'em to the gallery!

Since this is all casual and for fun, I'd suggest we can post vids by anyone...though if we were going to have some kind of annual awards...I'd say we ought to have a few categories—it makes sense to separate the truly "amateur" videos (no-budget vids made by ordinary folks on their own for fun) and "professional" videos made by guys who do it for a living and have big budgets to work with and are being compensated or featured by major product manufacturers. (Yeah, I know the boundary between the two is kinda blurry these days, but you get my drift—it's not exactly fair to compare National Geographic productions with one guy doing it for fun...)

Video gallery would be pretty damn nice. Wont have to search back just to find videos to watch.
I give positive rep all around but then I get negative rep from all the clowns.

Pretty good for an 11-year-old videographer! Get her to use a tripod...then shorten the video to about half that length...and finally time the cuts to the music, and you'll be stylin'!

You get an "A" for the basic concept though—MTBing on the college campus. Nice to see after a zillion "on the trail" vids...

This trailer looks fantastic, and the music ain't too bad either!

Find -The Mountain Bike Film from ResetFilms.co.uk on Vimeo.

There is a big difference between ripping and skidding.
